Thom, it looks to me like they were doing some kind of drill, possibly to work on synchronization or set. 1 and 2, as well as 7 and 8, are just chilling and helping to set the boat, while 3 through 6 row together. We could try that with our 4+: have 2 and 3 row together; then switch and have only the bow and stroke row...

Exactly so, Dawn. 3 through 6 are working and the others aren't. (I should have figured something like that was the logical explanation...) I don't know if I would know how to row with #3! My eyes are fixed on your shoulders and arms. I can see when you feather, slide, catch and stroke. I'm far-sighted, so I may have to wear my pull-apart glasses for the #2 & #3 drill!
Great in-bound row today [once we adjusted Clare's foot stretcher]!

Today was beautiful! Thank you again for helping us out, Clare.... especially when we missed the boat on adjusting the #3 seat! We weren't perfect today, but both the set and the sync were pretty darn close. And great coxing by B-Cox!
