Because we might actually get to row on the water the first couple weekends in April, we will need to set a March date for our indoor marathon fundraiser. Any suggestions?

Not March 17 -- I'll be forced to relinquish my last name if I don't spend that day with Uncle Guinness and Aunt Bass.

lets do it on a week day evening! that is when the most people are at the rec..... could even make nightly news. say the 5th at 4pm - till 8ish
could we get permission to move the ergs down to the lobby - so everyone coming in and out would see us?
I can get the computer to project the boats just like a race - it would give people something to look at!
any other ideas guys?

Ah, the Irish problem....
As to weekday marathon, I think if we were to do that, we'd have to do it on a Friday night. 1) The Rec Center folks probably want nonrowing students to be on the ergs during peak hours. 2) I don't know about you guys, but if I row a marathon on, say, a Wednesday night, I will not only miss morning crew practice but I won't go squat at my job for the rest of the week!

The Irish Problem? I could be offended by that!
I do like the lobby idea, with the boats projected on a screen. If we do this on a Friday night, we can follow up with a round of... ice waters flavored with lemon wedges.
