Ouch! No, seriously. Ouch! I had a really hard time, especially after an hour, with my butt hurting, and a few times I had to dial down the SPM to 16 so I could shift position between strokes...you wanna hear anymore excuses? Here's the final score: 97:55:5. Or 1 hr 37 mins 55.5 seconds. Next outing, the score will improve. I promise. Must do 3 more half-marathons before attempting the full marathon on May 7. And by the way, the Commodore assures me this marathon endeavor is senseless. I agree.

Great job. You kept your split under 2:20! I watched The Boat Race yesterday. The cox for Cambridge was incredible. She ran Oxford all over the river.

Senseless, indeed. You're a sick, sick man.
What channel do you have to get in order to watch obscure foreign sports?

It is ESPNU, a third cousin of the step child,ESPN2. It came replete with English announcers. Most of London seems to have paused and popped open an oatmeal stout to enjoy the race. I shall have to put viewing the race live on my list of things to do.

Of course, the Tour of Flanders was today as well. Think of the frites and mayonaisse! The joy! To be spectating on the Oude Kwaremont! Too bad an Italian had to win...

Hey, RW. Are you in the Classics department? If so, and Admiral Brandenburg will testify to this, you'll feel right at home here at SIU rowing.
